The case is stated, “How is it at all disputable that most Americans have what they have because they have benefited from unjust acts of those who came before? The displacing of the native population from their land made land available for anyone who owns a house to have that land. The slave labor of African slaves created the conditions for economic success in the colonies that might not have come in the same way or with the same amount of success had it not been for slavery.” This raises the question, “Is there a current benefit to past bad acts?”
