DIY Wrap Skirt: Pattern Making & Sewing Tutorial
Hey friends! Today I'm making a simple wrap skirt for summer, and I'm making my own pattern! All calculations are listed below for you to use!
Measure around the smallest part of your waist and widest part of your hips to ensure a good fit!
Waist calculation:
Waist measurement + 1 inch of ease ÷ 2 + 1 inch for seam allowances
Hip Calculation:
Hip measurement + 1 inch of ease ÷ 2 + 1 inch for seam allowances
Waistband Calculation:
Final number from waist calculation x 3 - 2 + 17 for tie.
You can adjust the tie measurement to be longer or shorter depending on your preference.
Second tie:17.5 inches long and 3.5 inches wide.
Fabric I used: https://bobbieloufabric.com/products/citrus-blossom-rayon-in-orange?_pos=7&_sid=d784a82af&_ss=r
It also comes in this cute lemon print!
