A Retaining Wall - Made by J&D

The fence (built in the early '70's by the original owner of this house) was actually on the neighbors side of the boundary by about 200mm while the old retaining wall (that I had slapped together 20 years ago, and was always 400mm too low) was about 100mm on my side of the boundary. Landscaping that the neighbor had done combined with the sharp change in elevation down to my retaining wall was causing the old fence to blow out at the bottom. It took a bit of negotiating for both of us to be happy but all came out well. I had a boundary survey completed 12 years ago and we agreed to use that as a guide to place the wall. Total materials and third-party labor cost was AU$6500. It could have been much higher had I not done the demolishing, excavating and fence construction.
