1947 Tournament of Roses Parade

This is silent 8mm movie footage of the Tournament of Roses Parade which was held in Pasadena, California on January 1, 1947.

The music is "A Jam Session at Victor" by Jack Teagarden's Big Eight. This was recorded just a few months after the parade on March 14, 1947. Because it was an "on the spot" improvisation, it was probably never performed again.
