Stop ❌ Eating Raw Beetroot

Just because it's "healthy" doesn't mean you should eat it raw... beetroot included

As a functional nutritionist, here's what people miss Raw beetroot is not always safe
Especially if you're blindly juicing and drinking it daily

• It's a root vegetable
Grows under soil so it can carry bacteria, pesticides, microbes

•High fiber + FODMAP load
If your gut is sensitive (IBS, bloating, dysbiosis) it can lead to fermentation, gas, discomfort

• High in oxalates
If you have kidney stone tendency or mineral imbalance, risk can increase

Blood sugar matters
Beetroot juice without fiber balance can spike glucose faster
BP awareness

• Beetroot naturally lowers blood pressure (nitrates
→ nitric oxide)
If you already have low BP or are on meds, you may feel dizzy

Thyroid & mineral balance
Excess raw intake may interfere with calcium absorption in some cases
Liver support is real, but context matters Beetroot supports detox pathways, but overload is not better
So the problem is not beetroot...
It's dose + digestion + form

Do it right:
Wash thoroughly (warm water + baking soda or vinegar soak)
Prefer steamed or lightly cooked for better tolerance Pair with protein + fat to balance glucose response Rotate foods, don't depend on one "superfood" daily Your body doesn't need trends... it needs personalization

How do you usually consume beetroot?
A) Raw juice daily
B) Raw in salads
C) Cooked (boiled/steamed)
D) Occasionally
Comment A / B/C/D

I'll tell you if your current habit is safe or needs a tweak🙌
