This is from the third volume of the four-part commemorative pack featuring 51 compositions of Pandit Jasraj which promises hours of listening pleasure. The collection also celebrates 50 years in music of the legendary master, one of the finest exponents of Hindustani classical in the country. Each of the volumes contain short compositions by Pandit Jasraj in various ragas. One of the track in the 3rd volume contains this beautiful Chaturang based on raga Shyam Kalyan. Chaturanga is a combination of four styles. The styles entail meaningful lyrics, wordless syllables as in a tarana, sol-fa syllables (called sargam), and vocal recitation of pakhavaj compositions (padhant).
