Alumni Stories: Summer Stephan, JD '86

Summer Stephan, ‘86, serves as the elected District Attorney for San Diego County, currently in her second term representing the people. In this video, Stephan shares how she has always aspired to be a prosecutor and credits McGeorge School of Law for its excellent connections that help students pursue their desired careers. For Stephan, the McGeorge community felt like family both during her time as a student and after graduation. During her time as a student, she served as Student Bar Association President. She also highlights that McGeorge’s focus on both understanding and practicing the law is what sets it apart in the community.

“McGeorge School of Law is the hub for the Sacramento community and all the things Sacramento represents,” Stephan said.
