Brooke Raboutou Makes HISTORY With Excalibur 9b+ 5.15c Ascent

Brooke Raboutou has announced an ascent of Excalibur 9b+ 5.15c in Arco, Italy. Raboutou is only the third person to successfully climb Excalibur following Stefano Ghisolfi’s first ascent in 2023 and Will Bosi’s recent repeat of the route in February 2025.

In making the female first ascent of Excalibur, Brooke Raboutou has also brought sport climbing to a new level, becoming the first woman to climb a route graded 9b+ or 5.15c.
