Gigjokull Glacier Lagoon, Eyjafjallajokull, South Shore Adventure in Land Rover Defender 110

Nelson splashes through the outlet stream from the Gigajokull glacial lagoon fed from the Eyjafjallajokull Glacier in the Land Rover Defender 110 as part of our South Shore Adventure tour in february 2010. A month later the whole area was completely decimated when the volano erupted, Gigajokull was the source of flash flooding that washed away the lagoon and roads in the valley of Porsmork. Feel quite humbled to have been some of the last poeple to see the landscape in its previous guise. Still, i'm sure the new one is lots of fun to explore ;)
