Amongst the longest, largest, biggest, and most expensive cruise ships ever built are Royal Caribbean's Quantum (Quantum of the Seas, Anthem of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas, Spectrum of the Seas, Odyssey of the Seas) , Icon (Icon of the Seas), and Oasis Class (Oasis of the Seas, Allure of the Seas, Symphony of the Seas, Harmony of the Seas, Wonder of the Seas) ships. Royal Caribbean Cruises calls them the most "technologically advanced cruise ships ever built", as they include unique features, such as NorthStar, Two70, FlowRider surfing simulators, and more...

Another heavily represented cruise line is MSC Cruises. MSC Cruises' Seaside (MSC Seaside, MSC Seaview) and Seaside EVO (MSC Seashore, MSC Seascape) Classes are designed for warm-weather luxury Caribbean cruises, whereas the MSC Meraviglia (MSC Meraviglia, MSC Bellissima) and Meraviglia-Plus (MSC Grandiosa, MSC Virtuosa) classes are designed for cold-weather Alaska and Northern Europe cruises. MSC Cruises is also launching brand new cruise ships in 2021 and 2022, including the MSC World Europe, one of the largest cruise ships in the world!

Carnival Corporation and its subsidiaries (Carnival Cruise Line, P&O Cruises, Costa Cruises, Aida Kreuzfahrten) are all also represented in this list. The Carnival Mardi Gras, the P&O Iona, P&O Arvia, Carnival Celebration, Aida Cosma (AIDAcosma), Aida Nova (AIDAnova), Costa Smeralda, and Costa Toscana are all part of the same class of ships. Norwegian Cruise Lines' Breakaway-Plus class of ships (Norwegian Escape, Norwegian Joy, Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Encore) was the successor of the hugely successful Norwegian Breakaway class. Dream Cruises, the largest Asian Cruise Line) plans to launch the Global Dream (Dream Cruises' Global Class) one of the biggest cruise ships to ever be built, launching in 2022!
