AMD Ryzen Evolution [2017-2022] | AMD Zen CPUs

The evolution of AMD Ryzen has a short route but with remarkable improvements from one generation to another. AMD is one of the major manufacturers of microprocessors, motherboards and graphics processors for servers and personal computers, starting as a licensed chipmaker for giants like Intel. Over time, AMD began producing its own chips, in 2017 launching the Ryzen range of processors. AMD Ryzen is currently in its fifth generation Zen 4 (AMD Ryzen 7000 Series) and includes Ryzen 3, Ryzen 5, Ryzen 7, Ryzen 9 and Ryzen Threadripper. Also, the ZEN range of processors use the AM4, TR4, SP3 sockets, the newest generation of AMD Ryzen processors using the AM5 socket. At the same time, the new Ryzen processors come in four models, the top of the range being the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X.
