Omar Samra is the first Egyptian and one of less than 40 people to climb the 7-Summits and ski to both poles. But when tragedy struck, Omar discovered that the mountains he’d climbed were never meant to be his biggest challenge. And that the answers to life’s most important question exist in the depths of loss, vulnerability, and ultimately, learning to let go. 

Omar Samra is a father, successful entrepreneur and future astronaut. In 2009, he left a corporate career behind and founded Wild Guanabana, an award-winning travel company that helps reconnect people with nature through wild and wonderful adventures across the globe. Samra was born in London and now lives between Egypt and the UAE.
