Trying Holbein Pencils for the First Time 🎨 (Jackson’s Art Haul)

Hello!!

A slightly chaotic but very honest Jackson’s Art haul today - I picked up a bunch of new Holbein pencils and thought I’d film myself swatching and testing them for the first time.

I’ve seen so many people using Holbein lately and was VERY curious… but also slightly sceptical because I am deeply loyal to my Luminance and Derwent pencils 😅

In this video I:
• Swatch a full range of new colours
• Compare them (very loosely!) to Luminance + Derwent
• Talk through what I like, what I’m unsure about, and what I’d actually use them for
• Try a few extras like Posca pens + a brush pen
• Do some quick bird sketches to test them in a real drawing

There are definitely some surprises in here…

Also - I am not on camera in this one because I am having a very real studio day (greasy hair, no makeup, full goblin energy), so we’re going desk-view only - honestly for the best 😂
