Tech 21 Sansamp GT2 for Nirvana Tones

Here are some of my favourite Nirvana riffs played using the Tech 21 Sansamp GT2 for distortion.

Riffs all hacked (and I mean hacked lol!) out in E Flat and drop D Flat tuning! Not using album tunings, basically just in utero tour tunings

- Fender KC Jaguar
- Sansamp GT2
- Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp
- Harley Benton GPA-400 Power Amp
- Marshall JCM 900 1960A 4x12 cab loaded with Celestial G12T-75 speakers
- Shure SM57 Mic (pretty sure it’s fake)
- Scarlett Focusrite 2i2 interface
- Logic on MacBook Pro

In case you can’t see my settings on the pedal, here they are:

Level: 12.30
High: 11.00
Low: 2.00
Gain: 2.00
Mic: Classic
Mod: Hot Wired
Amp: California

Wasn’t going for any particular album or live show tone, just a generic Nirvana in-your-face wall of distortion.

Usual kind of amp settings were used on the mesa preamp: vol - 4, master - 4, treble - 9, bass - 4, middle - 10, reverb - 2. No graphic eq or bright switch or anything like that. I did add a little bit of presence on the power amp.

Gotta say, I love this pedal, and because I baby my original sansamp, I use this one much more!
Very versatile pedal, even if you just use it as a distortion like I do!
