Investigation underway after remains of 215 children found at BC residential school site

The remains of 215 children have been discovered at a suspected burial site in Kamloops, B.C.

The children, some as young as three years old, are believed to have been students at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School, one of the largest in Canada. The disturbing discovery was a result of work led by the Tk'emlups te Secwepemc First Nation.

Paul Johnson reports on the investigation underway, as Canada revisits a dark chapter of its history.

Anyone experiencing pain or distress as a result of their residential school experience can access this 24-hour, toll-free and confidential National Indian Residential School Crisis Line at 1-866-925-4419.
