DS 7 Crossback E-Tense Ultra Prestige 4x4 PHEV review: A posh plug-in - YesAuto

This is the DS 7 Crossback E-Tense 4x4 300 Ultra Prestige, a long name that's pretty simple to understand. The DS 7 Crossback is a luxury SUV that takes aim at BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz. E-Tense relates to this being a plug-in hybrid with an all-electric range of around 34-miles.

It's powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine and a pair of electric motors for a total output of 296bhp and 450Nm of torque. Progress is brisk with a 0-62mph time of 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 149mph. The DS 7 can drive as a pure EV at speeds of up to 80mph.

It seats five in a wonderfully unique cabin, complete with revolving clock and 12.5-inch infotainment system. The interior really is an interesting and comfortable place to spend time. Boot space is a generous 555-litres.
