Spending Thanksgiving Alone || Family Problems with My Sexuality

So this Thanksgiving I got into an argument with my father that didn't end too well. After everything was said and done I slept in my car and spent Thanksgiving day alone. I spent time enjoying my solitude in small parks and on the beach, kind of glad I wasn't surrounded by family members disucssing any more politics or opinions, or my future plans for my life and career.

My father's opinions on my sexuality and the LGBTQ+ community honestly took me by surprise, even though I'd known it's how it felt. Remember, no matter who you're related to or what their opinions of you, your sexuality, religion, etc. You are loved. I took a stand for my beliefs, even if that meant taking a hit to my family. I will fight for this community every day of my life, that I promise.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, be thankful for the things you have and tell the people you care about how much they mean to you. Love y'all. :)
