Sonic Mania Plus (PC) - Encore Mode - Full Playthrough (No Commentary)

As soon as the Sonic Mania Plus Encore Mode DLC came to Steam I downloaded and started playing. Do keep in mind this is a blind playthrough (even though I have completed Mania multiple times, the new special ring locations, not to mention said stages being harder threw me off).

I will mention that I was a bit tired even before starting the playthrough and by the end of it I was completely drained. I enjoyed the Encore Mode thoroughly even if my gameplay is a bit subpar this time around. Lava Reef Zone is the low point for me and I cringe at that footage...

Not to mention failing at the 1st Special stage 4 times in a row... I haven't touched the Special Stages in Sonic Mania in ages and I forgot how heavy the controls are. At that point to not clog the playthrough with filler I just gave up on them, though I do showcase were they are.

Thoughts on the new guys. Ray is pretty great for speedrunning, but only in wide open areas, in cramp spaces, his flight isn't really good. As for Mighty, I don't quite like him. The drop/stomp move kills all your momentum and you can't immediately jump or prepare a spindash after you land. I guess him being impervious to enemy projectiles or spikes when jumping is kind of neat, but Mighty is probably the weakest of the characters in terms of mobility. Mighty is weak... how ironic.

Anyway, please enjoy this playthrough for what it is. :)
