Wouldn’t it just be so much easier if he just came clean and told you WHY he’s resentful? Then, you’d at least know where you stand instead of being in a confusing (and awkward) limbo, wondering what’s going on. You could actually do something about it—make plans, defend yourself, or try to mend things. You know him well enough to recognize the signs: the scowls, the neglect, the silent treatment—they all scream resentment.
