Milling your own lumber is very enjoyable, not to mention that it can be done at very low cost. I've already got a chainsaw (Stihl MS390), Harbor Frieght Lumber Cutting Guide and plenty of trees. So the cost is in time and gas, I enjoy the time I spend milling and the gas cost is minimal. What I get is high quality, unique lumber that I can turn into custom furniture and sell for a handsome price. In this video I show you how I use this mini mill that I got for free to mill 3 thick slabs from a fallen red oak. Trees are everywhere, and everywhere there are trees, trees die. If you have the time and equipment, you can save these trees from becoming firewood and turn them into your own furniture or even MONEY! Another great characteristic of chainsaw milling is portability, you can mill anywhere, including all the places you could not get a portable bandmill, or even a tractor to extract the log. You mill the log where it lays and haul out the individual boards, or in this case 200 lb beams. Enjoy and feel free to ask questions.
