Hello everyone. This vlog will talk about the basic Japanese traffic rules.
For car and motorcycle:
1. Japanese cars drive on the left.
2. The speed limit on regular road is 60km/h.
3. By law, all persons in a vehicle are required to wear a seat belt.
4. When riding a motorcycle, always wear a helmet and protective gear.
5. Even when you cross at a crosswalk, you should make eye contact with the driver to convey that you're crossing.
6. Drunk driving is a crime. Don't encourage drivers to drink.Don't lend your car to anyone who's drinking. Don't get in the car if the driver has been drinking.

For bicycle:
1. No drunk driving.
2. Two riders are not allowed on a single bicycle.
3. No riding next to another bicycle.
4. Don't ride with an open umbrella or while listening to music with earphones.
5. Make sure to use a light at night.

Remember:
1. Automobile and motor cycle traffic law violations can result in tickets and fines.
2. Dangerous bicycle behaviors such as ignoring a red light or stop sign are also punishable.
3. If you are cited twice or more for any of the behavior discussed within a 3 year period, the National Public Safety Commission will require you to take a safety course for cyclists. Failure to comply is punishable by law.
