Trudeau announces new sanctions against Russia
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that Canada is joining other G7 countries in levying new economic sanctions against Russia as its invasion of Ukraine continues. The announcement came before Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was set to join G7 leaders for a meeting in Hiroshima, Japan. (May 19, 2023)
