'No need for public alarm:' Congress members urge calm after Russia intel
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and Rep. Jim Himes (D-Conn.) are urging calm after news broke of a new intelligence threat posed by Russia.
In a statement Wednesday, the chair of the House Intelligence Committee issued a vague warning about a “serious national security threat” related to Russia’s attempts to develop an antisatellite nuclear weapon for use in space.
"I want to ensure the American people there is no need for public alarm," Johnson said.
