Matt discusses the importance of using a white cane if you are blind or visually impaired as well as getting formal training otherwise called orientation and mobility training. Matt demonstrates the use of the cane while outdoors walking down a sidewalk. There is also an emphasis on hand placement, sweeping techniques, and the importance of gaining confidence as well as independence and freedom that the white cane will offer to anyone with low vision.
