Royal Air Force C-130 Hercules | Military Exercises in Alaska

The Lockheed Martin C-130 Hercules was the workhorse of the Royal Air Force's (RAF) tactical air transport fleet for nearly six decades. Renowned for its ruggedness, versatility, and ability to operate from short, rough, or unprepared airstrips, the "Herc" was central to nearly every British military, special forces, and major humanitarian operation from the mid-1960s until its retirement.

The RAF officially retired the C-130J fleet after 56 years of continuous service, marked by a national flypast. Primary tactical airlift responsibilities were transitioned to the Airbus A400M Atlas.
