Rescue At Ice Lake San Juan Mountains Colorado

Ice Lake has to be one of the most spectacular destinations for the hiker that wants an experience to remember. The hike takes you through the forest and crosses some beautiful streams and cascades. The high alpine meadows full of wildflowers is another big benefit for those interested in photography. However there is little that can compare to the final destination of Ice Lake. If you are looking for a fantastic setting at the end of the rainbow this is it.

On this trip we discovered someone that needed help and used our Garmin Inreach device to get help. This video explains what happened.

It goes without saying that we need to be prepared no matter if it is a mile trip or a ten mile trip. Always be ready for the unexpected.
