Hi, my name is Vivien. I do not own the rights to the music played in this video. The original length was about 30 minutes and I was shaving my head to gospel songs, lol. ( I had to remove the intro song because of a copyright content ID claim, sadly)

If you are wondering why I shaved my head, I will tell you the reasoning behind it.

My hair has always been the thing I loved most about myself and it was the only thing I thought was beautiful about me. I won the best hair award in middle school and ever since then just took pride in my hair believing it was the best thing about me. I didn’t love me, I loved my hair. I want to know what it’s like to love me for me. I feel empowered by shaving it myself. Yes, this is one of the most impulsive things I have done in my life. Yet, this hasn’t hurt anyone or myself physically. I feel liberated. I will learn to love me for me in this process of a new beginning. I also wanted to know if I had a weird shaped head and I don’t believe I do! Ha ha! I haven’t smiled like this in a very long time. I will find out who my real friends are in the mean time. Because guess what! Looks aren’t everything. My hair was everything to me and now it’s gone. Hair grows back!!!! I will learn to feel beautiful without my security blanket and that is what is most important to me in my life right now.
