【4K】Cycling - Helsinki-Vantaa Suburbs

Cycling through some new / older suburbs of Helsinki and Vantaa.

Starting off from Jakomäki and cycling through Alppikylä to Vaarala in Vantaa. Few U turns here and there due to dead ends 😅

Alppikylä is one of the newer suburbs of Helsinki and is located quite close to the border of Vantaa in eastern Helsinki. Jakomäki's was build around 1960's so quite an old neighbourhood in Helsinki.

Ended the trip on the sandpits of Jakomäki, which used to be a popular swimming place many moons ago. Have not been there in the summer for a long time so not sure if they still are being used for swimming, seemed like the vegetation had claimed a lot of the land around the small lakes 🙂

A little too windy , and hilly in Vaarala / Kuussilta 😄, for my taste when it comes to cycling but got to take advantage of the days when it's not raining in September
