The End of Xi’s China Dream? Chinese Commentary on COVID-19

Since the emergence of COVID-19 from Wuhan to the rest of China and the world, Chinese Communist Party General Secretary Xi Jinping has drawn international criticism and – surprisingly – criticism from inside the CCP itself. With his leadership now being called into question, Xi’s impulse may be to become even more confrontational, not less.
