✔️ NY RN License Renewal (Registration) — Step-by-Step

1. Check if your registration is about to expire
• NYSED sends you a renewal notice with PIN about 5 months before expiry.
• You can renew:
• within the last 5 months before expiration, OR
• up to 4 months after expiration (but you cannot practice if expired).

2. Complete the REQUIRED NY Courses

New York does NOT require general CEUs, but you MUST complete:

Course and Frequency

Infection Control
Every 4 years
Child Abuse Reporting
One-time

3. Renew Online

Go to:
👉 https://www.op.nysed.gov

Then:
• Login to your NYSED account
• Update moral character questions
• Confirm training completion
• Pay renewal fee

💰 Renewal Fee: $73

4. Receive Confirmation

Once processed:
• Your registration becomes active for another 3 years.
• Keep copies of training certificates for 6 years in case of audit.
