I went to open my mouth only to find it nearly locked shut. My tongue found a strong thread woven from tooth to tooth and I made a mad dash for the mirror. Forcing my mouth wider, breath fogging the glass, I found a spiderweb pulled tight between my jaws. As I tried once more to free myself from the maddening gag, the first tooth popped wetly out of its socket, dangling from the black thread. There was a brief pause, heart hammering, but I knew what I had to do. With the sickening slick sound of it overwhelming my senses, I started pulling. 🦷🕸️
