Arman Nshanyan - Garun a #Komitas

Soghomon Soghomonian, commonly known as Komitas, was an Armenian priest, composer, choir leader, singer, music ethnologist, music pedagogue and musicologist. Many regard him as the founder of modern Armenian classical music.

One of his works "Garun a" (It is Spring) depicts the Armenian Genocide through the eyes of Komitas. It is spring but there is snow. The snow symbolizes the the atrocities that took place in 1915 against the Armenian people by the Ottoman Empire behind the curtain of World War I. ~1.5million Armenians were massacred~
