Puffy Mattress Reviews - Original vs Lux vs Royal (UPDATE). This is our mega Puffy mattress comparison in which we do a mini Puffy review for each bed, but also discuss how they compare directly. For instance, Puffy is their entry level bed while the Luxe is their mid-tier luxury mattress, and the Royal is just a plush mattress that's expensive.

Puffy Mattress: This bed starts with dense foam, has a transition middle layer, and a gel memory foam top layer. Technically, this is a gel memory foam mattress, but it feels more like the Leesa or Casper beds of the world. It's close to a medium on our firmness scale meaning it's built to handle side sleepers, stomach sleepers, and back sleepers. Additionally, combination sleepers represent the majority of sleepers out there, so it makes sense that Puffy sits on the fence, so to speak, with firmness. This is a top ten online mattress brand.

Puffy Lux: This is an upgraded version of the Puffy mattress. It is a medium soft mattress, but not so soft that you're sinking through the bed. It's designed for side sleepers and those with hip pain, shoulder pain, upper back pain, and other pressure-point-related ailments.

Puffy Royal: Think of the Royal as a thicker version of the Lux with a neutral foam feel. Remember, the Lux has a soft memory foam feel, but the Royal will feel a bit like the original mattress. It's a premium bed in a box online, but we don't necessarily love the price tag.
