How to do lip blush on clients with mature lip skin?

If you’ve ever worked with mature clients, you know they bring a set of challenges that can really test your skills. The skin’s thinner, less elastic, and the texture? Totally different from what we see in younger clients. This can make or break the lip blush results. That’s why I’m super excited to share my latest tutorial – it’s all about handling those tricky mature lips to achieve results that are not just beautiful but long-lasting.

Importance of Lip Mapping
First off, we start with lip mapping. Ever wondered why this step is crucial? Well, on mature lips, defining the perfect boundary using thread and white pigment is crucial for that crisp, precise outline we all aim for. Trust me, it’s a game-changer when you apply the concealer precisely right to get those edges sharp.

The Right Needle and Technique
When it comes to the actual color application, things get interesting. I use a 1RL needle for the outline, taking special care to keep the pressure light – mature skin demands gentleness! Then, switching between needles for the fill, I ensure the color packs in just right without overwhelming the delicate balance of the skin.

Technique Tweaks for Perfect Results
The tutorial doesn’t just stop at teaching you how to lay down the color. I get into the nitty-gritty of needle types and configurations – like when and why I might pick a 3RL or a magnum needle. Plus, there are those little maneuvers that make a huge difference, ensuring even and deep color saturation without causing damage.

After outlining and filling, we go back to add and adjust, using numbing cream strategically to enhance client comfort throughout the session. I also share some insights on my equipment settings because, as you know, every little detail counts.
