Remodeling and Renovation | The $5000 House - Putting Recycled Metal on the Porch

In this episode we utilize the metal roofing we salvaged from a barn we took down a few weeks ago and repurposed it on the porch roof.

The are a few holes in the metal, but that is easily handled with a bit of tar. Most of the holes were able to be reused but unfortunately some were not.

It doesn't look real pretty but the idea is to be functional, not necessarily beautiful. As I've said many times "good enough is good enough". I also have the satisfaction of saving this metal, along with a lot of wood, from going to the landfill where it was headed.

I was pretty satisfied with the battery powered skill saw, it held up pretty better than I expected.

There will probably only be a couple more videos in this series because it is almost finished.

On a positive note, I have FINALLY been able to submit an application for utility service. Hopefully in the next few weeks, I'll have water turned on!
