The Scouring of the Shire | A Tolkien Reading

Saruman faces the Hobbits in this reading from the chapter "The Scouring of the Shire" from The Return of the King. The hobbits return home to find their beloved Shire desolated - even the Party Tree where Bilbo made his famous farewell speech has been cut down and left to rot. The hobbits come to the very door of Bag End, where they meet the instigator of all these transgressions, Saruman.
