Behind The Set of Locke & Key

Locke & Key has become one of Netflix’s most popular fantasy series-- and it’s no surprise considering all the imaginative elements that have gone into the show’s creation. Keyhouse is filled with mysteries-- and keys-- and the town of Matheson introduces us to unique places like the Drowning Caves. But how many of these places are real? How did the show’s sets bring the magic to life?

How the show was filmed is dramatically different from what we see on Netflix. There are so many questions to answer-- how much of Keyhouse is real? What about the Wellhouse? The entire town the show is set in is fictional, so the show’s creators picked a quaint Canadian village as their filming location. However, Keyhouse isn’t even located in the same town-- and the house’s interior scenes are filmed far away from Keyhouse’s outdoor set.
