A blue tennis bag belonging to Gerry McCann was seen in Portuguese police crime scene photographs of the apartment. In later photographs of the same location, it was gone. Portuguese police searched for it for months. It has never been found.
And Madeleine's favourite cuddly toy — the one item she had held every night of her short life — was washed by Kate McCann before cadaver dogs arrived to examine it. The dog still alerted to it. Even after washing.
