Leadership for the Anthropocene | Bruce Hull | TEDxHerndon
This talk begins by reviewing the demographic and environmental drivers creating the Anthropocene. It then summarizes how market and governance institutions are responding. The talk concludes with a discussion of the collaborative, adaptive, and distributed leadership practices needed to sustain development and take advantages of opportunities the Anthropocene presents.
Dr. Hull is a professor at Virginia Tech’s College of Natural Resources and Environment in Blacksburg. He writes and teaches about leadership for sustainable development and how to influence change in the cross sector space where government, business, and civil society intersect. He advises organizations, communities, and professionals responding to challenges and opportunities in the Anthropocene. He has authored and edited numerous publications, including two books, Infinite Nature and Restoring Nature.
