Turkey’s Hagia Sophia Museum’s revival as Ayasofya Mosque : Faizan Mustafa

Hagia Sophia was constructed by Justinian I in 532 AD. It was used as mosque after Mehmat II won Constantinople in 1453. In 1934, it was opened as museum.Rightist Islamist President Erdogan is now supporting its revival as mosque. Liberal seculars and Greeks are opposing it as it is now UNESCO World Heritage site. Highest Administrative Body of Turkey in next ten days will take the final decision.
