Asian Affinity Network Hosts Ajay Banga for Conversation on Leadership in Business
Ajay Banga is the Vice Chairman at General Atlantic and former CEO of Mastercard and the latest guest in Bridgewater’s Distinguished Speaker Series. Throughout his career, Banga has led and shaped change across technology, data, financial services, and innovating for inclusion. Currently, he also serves as Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce and is an Independent Director at Temasek and for Exor, where he serves as Chair of the company’s Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance Committee.
As a part of Bridgewater’s Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month programming, Banga joined our Asian Affinity Network (AAN) for a discussion moderated by Head of Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Ritambhara Kumar in which he shared anecdotes from his career and his philosophy on leadership. He reviewed the origin and importance of what he calls “the decency quotient” — or possessing the genuine desire to care for employees and colleagues. Watch excerpts from the discussion.
