Maharashtra’s railway infrastructure is set for a major boost, with nearly ₹2 lakh crore being invested in the state. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced proposals for dedicated freight corridors linking key ports, including JNPT and Wadwan, with Vidarbha and Marathwada, aiming to reduce logistics costs and enhance connectivity across nearly 75% of Maharashtra.

Union Minister Vaishnaw also confirmed progress on the revised Pune-Nashik rail route, paving the way for improved regional connectivity and economic activity.
