On July 15, 2023, four children were found alive after surviving for 40 days in the Amazon jungle. The siblings, who range in age from 1 to 13 years old, were traveling with their mother when their plane crashed on May 1. Their mother was killed in the crash, but the children were able to survive by eating cassava flour and seeds, and by drinking water from streams. They also hid from snakes and other predators by staying under tree trunks.

The children were found by a team of Colombian soldiers and indigenous searchers. They were weak and dehydrated, but they were otherwise in good health. The children are now being treated in a hospital in Colombia, and they are expected to make a full recovery.

This incredible story of survival is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. It is also a reminder of the importance of teamwork and cooperation. The children would not have survived without the help of the Colombian soldiers and indigenous searchers.
