this is just how i personally see the characters & films :) we're all obviously welcome to our own opinions & interpretations!! i just hope everyone can be respectful ❤ (pls i don't need the war flashbacks to some of the weird threats tony fans were posting on the iron man vids 😅)

hey guys! i've edited out about two minutes of this vid because i don't think i communicated it properly, based on the comments - i was trying to analyze the aspects of tony & steve's characters & how they're both perceived in the mcu. (not question WHY tony helped shield, lol) tony's edits to the helicarrier turbines, even though he genuinely just meant to help shield, would've accidentally contributed to project insight & helped optimize hydra's weapon, even if he didn't know it would lead to that. him creating ultron, even though he meant to protect the world, ended up putting people in harm's way. hence why i said that even though his tech is meant to improve life, there's also a huge potential for destruction. and yet, despite this, his reputation is as the clean energy guy who stopped weapon development & is constantly searching for peace. meanwhile, steve, who actively opposed project insight to fury's face & has said "every time you try to stop a war before it starts, innocent people die", is regarded by other characters as the man who can't live without a war or leave it behind him. i think it's an interesting point that their reputations in the mcu are kinda switched compared with their actions. i definitely wasn't trying to criticize tony for helping shield with the helicarriers after he got sucked in (really only mentioned him as a parallel) & and i understand that he just wants to protect the world with his actions. i only brought him up because i was trying to analyze tony & steve together, because it's always super interesting to me how they're almost two sides of the same coin. idk. sorry for the confusion. maybe i'll bring it back up in age of ultron, when it's a lot clearer than here. thanks!
