The Kids Are All Right (China) 鸡蛋碰石头 - Xiamen 20130818

Seven super intelligent kids, ranging from 9 to 15 years, stand between you and a fortune. Chess champions, master spellers, maths geniuses... they're cocky, competitive and confident in their own abilities. Does anyone have what it takes to beat them and walk away with tens of thousands of pounds? Four adults put their combined intelligence to the test in the hope of carrying home a fortune in cold hard cash. But there's only one little problem standing in their way. Actually, there's seven little problems - our gang of seven super kids, who want them to leave with nothing. These adults must take on the kids in a series of intellectual challenges in four rounds. Every time they defeat the kids, their prize pot goes up... But there's a catch. In the fifth and final round called Beat the Kids, they'll find out if they get to take the cash home. Because unless they beat all seven kids, they'll be going home with absolutely nothing... The rounds may seem easy on the surface but are surprisingly challenging; especially when a kid is facing you with a smug look on his face. First off it's Instant Showdown: the round that shows off the mental muscle and sets the stakes. Having been given a healthy sum of £5,000, each adult faces one of the kids in a best of three showdown. Fail, and the adults lose a mighty £1000 per showdown. Without a moment to consider their status, the adults face their next round, the brain strainer that is Memory Overload. But this round, as with the other rounds up until the final, see the adults play for money sums that equal the age of the kid or kids. For instance, play against the 11 year old and there is a whopping £11,000 in play. Having watched an information crammed video clip, one of the adults faces one of the kids in a showdown of memory. What animal appeared between the two cups of coffee, for instance? Will the adults give themselves a cash boost or will the kid gladiators prove their strength? Two adults and two kids convene for round three, aptly named Double Jeopardy. Taking turns the pairs are shown three answers to a question and are asked to give one answer each; two are correct and one is wrong. Win or lose, it's time to hit round four, Biggest and Best. The remaining adult plays one of the kids in a battle of knowledge and reactions, testing their ability to find the best, largest, fastest etc. For instance, six flags appear on screen. Which one has the highest population? Finally as the whoops of joy or the cries of frustration settle, it's time to play the tension filled, all-or-nothing final called Beat the Kids. The adults have to face each and every kid in order of age to win the money they've accumulated in the previous rounds. One adult versus one kid. If either fail, then in comes their replacement until there are none left. Will the adults survive and take home the thousands in cash or will the kids hold their ground and prove that The Kids are All Right?

The Kids Are Al Right - are you smart enough to take them on?
