Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh passed away on April 9 last year, two months before he would have turned 100. He's been married to Queen Elizabeth since 1947. The Queen is reportedly expecting a significant judgement after trying to ban Philip's Will from public view.

After a senior member of the Royal Family dies, it has been usual for over a century to request that their will be kept secret. This has always been the case, sealed or not. As a result, senior royal family members' wills are not open to public review. However, The Guardian has challenged the decision to seal the will in secret. The appeal doesn't question the will's sealing.
