Ace Combat 7 Final Mission 20 – Dark Blue | F-35C Lightning II | Expert Controls | Cockpit View
We finally made it to the grand finale of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, but the real boss fight wasn't the drones... it was my own hardware.
In this full long play of Mission 20 ("Dark Blue"), I'm flying the F-35C Lightning II loaded up with 4AAM (4 Target Multi-Lock Air-to-Air Missiles). Things started out great! The F-35 and 4AAM combo absolutely shredded the initial wave of Arsenal Bird drones.
But then... tragedy struck. When I was about to enter the trench, I realized my joystick was failing me. My yaw axis button was broken, leaving me fighting the controls just to stay level.
🕒 Timestamps:
00:00 - Briefing & Aircraft Setup (F-35C + 4AAM)
02:15 - Takeoff & Entering the AO
04:30 - Drone Swarm Battle (4AAMs putting in work)
12:40 - The Moment I Realized My Joystick Was Broken 😭
15:10 - The Space Elevator Trench Run (Pain, suffering, and a lot of crashing)
22:15 - Final Drone Fight & Ending Cinematic
🎮 The Breakdown:
The Good: The drone phase was not too bad. The F-35C's agility coupled with the multi-lock missiles, did its work.
The Bad & The Ugly: Trying to navigate the narrow Undersea Tunnel and the Space Elevator shaft without proper yaw control is a pain. Cue the montage of me bouncing off walls and crashing. Did the same at the end, when I was trying to escape through the Space Elevator.
We got through it eventually, though! If you want to see a pilot salvage a victory with broken gear, this is the run for you.
If you enjoyed the struggle, make sure to hit that Like button, drop a comment to press 'F' for my joystick, and Subscribe for more Ace Combat content!
