Upgrading my Cozy Farming Game with NPCs - Devlog 3

Welcome back to Devlog 3! I’m making a relaxing 3D farming game in Unity, but with a twist: it’s a roguelite. In this indie game devlog, running the farm by myself got way too exhausting, so I programmed automated AI farmhands to do the heavy lifting!

Watch the game dev process as I dive into Blender to fix my 3D character models and build a full character customization system with swappable clothes and hats. I also break down the Unity C# code behind my NPC workers—using a programming trick I call "The Hidden Clone" to manage their AI inventories—and show how I fixed the hilarious pathfinding traffic jams they caused on the grid.
