[520] Master Lock M50XKAD (Strong lock / weak core)

I remember BosnianBill coining the term marshmallow core when describing Master Lock cores. The man was spot on. They do make some tough locks in terms of physical build but they keep using cores that should be used on piggy banks or file cabinets at most.
To me, the real security is the entire lock. If it doesn't have to be cut off or in some way destructively opened, it fails.
Please do your homework before your next lock purchase.
Looks can be deceiving.
