Introducing the Wave Equation: Derivation and Intuition

In this video, I introduce the Wave Equation. I carry out a derivation of the Wave Equation for a 1-D string by using force balances and applying a small amplitude approximation. I also give some of the intuition of the wave equation to give a better idea of what it means, kind of like what I did with the Heat Equation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUX-scnhpaw

I have reverted to using 720p videos since 1080p takes long to upload and results in a few problems while uploading. If you really want me to use 1080p quality, let me know.

Prereqs: The first two videos in this playlist help because you obviously have to know what PDEs/Partial Derivatives are, but not much background Math is necessary: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdgVBOaXkb9Ab7UM8sCfQWgdbzxkXTNVD
